EXPERIENCED, LOCAL, DIVERSE UNION WORKFORCE
Select Paint values its loyal and capable workforce as its most important asset. Select Paint employs up to 200 painters per day to service our multitude of projects. The ability to have such a large, committed, skilled workforce is also in part due to the union partnerships.
Our painters are all signatory to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 35, which is an organization comprised of over 4,000 construction industry painters, wall coverers, glaziers, and drywall finishers. District Council 35 members are highly trained and safety conscious. They are required to take comprehensive OSHA training, CPR training, respiratory exams and respirator fit tests, fall protection, scaffold and aerial lift training.
District 35 is also affiliated with the Finishing Trades Institute of New England (FTI-NE), which is an educational apprenticeship program that provides highly-skilled training through a combination of classroom instruction, shop training and field experiences. The FTI-NE is an innovative institution providing comprehensive apprenticeship training and integrates cutting-edge technology into their curriculum, supporting progressive approaches and continued professional development.
